The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The All-merciful 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He has created man: 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees do prostrate (to Him). 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together. 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
