The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 Do you know what al-tariq is? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 That issued from between the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 They are devising guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
