We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
