The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken violently, 4 and the mountains are totally shattered and crumble to pieces 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise). 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining face to face. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 with goblets and ewers and a cup filled with a drink drawn from a running spring, 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And [with them will be their] companions pure, most beautiful of eye, 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 The reward for what they did. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and spreading shade 30 and flowing water, 31 and abundant fruit, 32 unfailing and not forbidden. 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
