Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
