The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 slain were the Men of the Pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated over it 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
