ARE, THEN, they who are bent on denying the truth not aware that the heavens and the earth were [once] one single entity, which We then parted asunder? and [that] We made out of water every living thing? Will they not, then, [begin to] believe? 30 And We have made great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with them, and We have made in it wide ways that they may follow a right direction. 31 And We have made the heaven a guarded canopy and (yet) they turn aside from its signs. 32 And He it is Who has created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orbit floating. 33 And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad SAW), then if you die, would they live forever? 34 Every soul shall taste of death; and We try you with evil and good for a testing, then unto Us you shall be returned. 35 And when the disbelievers see you, they do not appoint you except as an object of mockery; “Is he the one who speaks ill of your Gods?”; whereas they deny the remembrance of the Most Gracious Himself! 36 Man is a creature of haste. Soon I will show you My signs, but do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 They say: 'If you are truthful, when will this promise come' 38 If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided... 39 Indeed, it will come upon them suddenly and confound them; and they will not be able to ward it off, nor shall they be reprieved. 40 Mocked were (many) messenger before thee; But their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked. 41
