And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
