In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ha, Meem. 1 CONSIDER this divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 2 Surely We have made it an Arabic Quran that you may understand. 3 It is in the Origin of the Book with Us, sublime and wise. 4 Shall We utterly ignore you because ye are a wanton folk? 5 We have sent many a prophet to earlier peoples 6 But never yet came a prophet to them without their deriding him 7 Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these, and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them). 8 And if thou (Muhammad) ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, they will surely answer: The Mighty, the Knower created them; 9 Who has made the earth a cradle for you and made thereon paths for you so that, hopefully, you may find your way 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. 12 in order that you might gain mastery over them, and that, whenever you have mastered them, you might remember your Sustainer's blessings and say: "Limitless in His glory is He who has made [all] this subservient to our use - since [but for Him,] we would not have been able to attain to it. 13 And verily unto our Lord we are to return. 14 Yet they have made some of His servants a part of Him. Indeed man is most evidently thankless. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
