Al-Najm 3 of 3
Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
