The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He created the human 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 and heaven -- He raised it up, and set the Balance. 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of both the Easts, and Lord of both the Wests! 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And His are the lofty ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
