Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Reality - 1 What is the Inevitable Calamity? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 the Thamud were destroyed by a terrible storm of thunder and lightning; 5 And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast. 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment. 10 Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 Then on that Day shall happen the Event. 15 and the heavens will be rent asunder, 16 The angels will stand on all its sides. And on that Day, eight (of them) will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That Day shall ye be brought to Judgment: not an act of yours that ye hide will be hidden. 18 Then he who is given his record in his right hand will exclaim, "Here is my record, read it. 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 Then he shall find himself in a life of bliss; 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 with its fruits within easy reach. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” 25 And knew not what my reckoning! 26 Would it had been the end! 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 [Allah will say], "Seize him and shackle him. 30 Then into Hellfire drive him. 31 then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. 32 Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous, 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 "So no friend hath he here this Day. 35 nor any food except foul pus 36 "Which none do eat but those in sin." 37
