Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Abundance diverts you, 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!) 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
