Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the winds that scatter the dust far and wide, 1 And those who bear the load (of rain), 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 and the partitioners, 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the beautiful heavens, 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Perish will those who just guess and speculate, 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 Little of the night they were wont to slumber. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 This, by the Lord of the heavens and the earth is as certain as your ability to speak. 23
