Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 and raising clouds of dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
