The food of the Zakkum tree 43 Is the food of the sinful 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 (It will be said) "Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire, 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 (Saying): 'Taste, surely you are the mighty and noble! 49 This is the very thing which you [deniers of the truth] were wont to call in question!" 50 Lo! those who kept their duty will be in a place secured. 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 While resting in security, they shall call for all kinds of fruit. 55 They will not taste death therein, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the torment of the Flaming Fire. 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So watch, [O Muhammad]; indeed, they are watching [for your end]. 59
