The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
