And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 [and] who [now] declare this Qur'an to be [a tissue of] falsehoods! 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 concerning what they have been doing. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
