(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
