The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Has not there come to you the story of Musa? 15 Recall what time his Lord called unto him in the holy vale of Tuwa. 16 Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed all bounds (in crimes, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.). 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
