Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Kiraman (honourable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
