Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
