Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 and my tongue fluent 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 (The Lord) said: "Be not afraid. I am verily with you, and I hear and see. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Consume them as food or for grazing your cattle. In this there is evidence (of the existence of God) for the people of reason". 54
