The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 those who, in their Prayers, humble themselves; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
