Al-Najm 3 of 3
(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
