The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ GLORIFY THE NAME of your Lord, most high, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
