The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Striking? 2 And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity? 3 It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed, 4 And the mountains will be like carded wool. 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 He will be in a pleasant life. 7 But as for him whose scales are light, 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 And what could make thee conceive what that [abyss] will be? 10 (It is) a hot blazing Fire! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
