Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
