۞ And who could be more wicked than he who invents lies about God? and gives the lie to the truth as soon as it has been placed before him? Is not hell the [proper] abode for all who deny the truth? 32 But he who brings the truth, and he who wholeheartedly accepts it as true - it is they, they, who are [truly] conscious of Him! 33 They will have whatever they desire with their Lord. That is the reward of the doers of good - 34 God will efface their worst deeds from their record and give them their reward in accordance with the best of their actions. 35 Shall not God suffice His servant, though they frighten thee with those apart from Him? And whomsoever God leads astray, no guide has he. 36 And he whom Allah guides to the Right Way, none can lead him astray. Is not Allah the Most Mighty, the Lord of Retribution? 37 And verily, if you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" Surely, they will say: "Allah (has created them)." Say: "Tell me then, the things that you invoke besides Allah, if Allah intended some harm for me, could they remove His harm, or if He (Allah) intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His Mercy?" Say: "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must put their trust." 38 Say, "My people, do whatever is in your power -- and so will I. Soon you shall come to know 39 "Who it is to whom comes a Penalty of ignominy, and on whom descends a Penalty that abides." 40 Lo! We have revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture for mankind with truth. Then whosoever goeth right it is for his soul, and whosoever strayeth, strayeth only to its hurt. And thou art not a warder over them. 41
