Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Yet man is sceptical of what is right before him. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 Even if he presents his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Nay! But you love the present life, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
