Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 The living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
