The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 The mountains made to move, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 that hide, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
