The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 roaring over the hearts 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in columns outstretched. 9
