Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth after its (former) residents that if We please We would afflict them on account of their faults and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear. 100 We have told you the stories of those towns: their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were never going to believe in something they had already rejected. Thus God seals up the hearts of those who deny the truth. 101 We did not find many among them keeping their promises. However, We did find many evil-doers among them. 102 Then We sent, after them, Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his Council, but they did them wrong; so behold thou, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 103 And Moosa said, “O Firaun! Indeed I am a Noble Messenger from the Lord Of The Creation.” 104 And it behoves me to say nothing about Allah except what is true. I have come to you with a clear sign of having been sent from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me.' 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 He threw down his staff, and it was clearly a serpent. 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white to all beholders! 108
