Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun shall be darkened, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
