The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who establish proper ranks. 1 And so are strong in repelling (evil), 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
