Thamud denied the warning 23 And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall be in error and insane." 24 Was there none but he to whom the Reminder could be vouchsafed excluding all others? Nay; he is an insolent liar.” 25 Tomorrow shall they know who is the liar, the insolent one. 26 Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh)], and be patient! 27 Tell them that each one of them has the right to have a certain share of water". 28 But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her). 29 How then were My chastisement and My warnings? 30 Verily, We sent against them a single Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.), and they became like the dry stubble of a fold-builder. 31 We made the Quran easy to understand, but is there anyone who would take heed? 32 The folk of Lot rejected warnings. 33 Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night, 34 through Our Mercy. So it is that We recompense the thankful. 35 And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. 36 And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 37 One early morning Our torment brought upon them utter destruction. 38 We said, "Suffer Our torment of which you were warned". 39 And assuredly We have made the Qur'an easy for admonition; is there then any one who would be admonished. 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
