The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night when it envelopeth, 1 And the day resplendent 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 As for him who gave out his wealth (for Allah's sake) and abstained (from disobeying Him), 5 And affirms goodness, 6 We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). 7 But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, 8 And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Surely, it is for Us to provide guidance -- 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
