Pray, "Lord, if you would show me that [the punishment] of which they have been warned, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 We have the Power to strike them with torment before your very eyes. 95 Dispel evil with what is good. We know well what they attribute (to Us). 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 "And I seek refuge with You, My Lord! lest they may attend (or come near) me." 98 [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 "Are you not those to whom My revelations were recited, and you dubbed them as lies?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 Allah will say: "Away from Me; stay where you are and do not address Me. 108 "Behold, there were among My servants such as would pray, 'O our Sustainer! We have come to believe [in Thee]; forgive, then, our sins and bestow Thy mercy on us: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!' 109 But you took them for a laughingstock, so much so that they made you forget My Remembrance while you used to laugh at them! 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. 116 He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
