۞ SAY: "[Thus speaks God:] 'O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God's mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!'" 53 “And incline towards your Lord and submit to Him, before the punishment comes you and then you may not be helped.” 54 Follow the best of what is revealed to you from your Lord before the torment suddenly approaches you and you will not realize how it came about. 55 Lest a person should say: "Alas, my grief that I was undutiful to Allah (i.e. I have not done what Allah has ordered me to do), and I was indeed among those who mocked [at the truth! i.e. La ilaha ill-Allah (none has the right to be worshipped but Allah), the Quran, and Muhammad SAW and at the faithful believers, etc.] 56 Or, lest it should say: 'If Allah had only guided me I would have been one of the cautious' 57 Or (lest) he should say when he sees the torment: "If only I had another chance (to return to the world) then I should indeed be among the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112)." 58 'Yes indeed! My signs did come to thee, but thou hast cried them lies, and thou hast waxed proud, and become one of the unbelievers.' 59 On the Day of Judgment wilt thou see those who told lies against Allah;- their faces will be turned black; Is there not in Hell an abode for the Haughty? 60 But God shall deliver those that were godfearing in their security; evil shall not visit them, neither shall they sorrow. 61 God is the Creator of every thing; He is Guardian over every thing; 62 His are the keys of the heavens and the earth and those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah - those! they are the losers. 63
