Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
