Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 My Lord, then do not place me among the wrongdoing people." 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say: "O my Sustainer! I seek refuge with Thee from the promptings of all evil impulses; 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 that I should do righteousness in that I forsook' No! It is only a word which he will speak. Behind them there shall stand a barrier till the Day that they shall be resurrected. 100 When the trumpet is blown, on that Day there will be no ties of relationship between them; neither will they ask about one another: 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy they are the successful. 102 But those whose scales are lighter will perish and abide in Hell for ever. 103 The Fire shall scorch their faces, exposing their jaws. 104 (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 "You mocked and laughed at them until you forgot all about Me. 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 Say: "My Lord, forgive and have mercy. You are the best of the merciful." 118
