We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We did not create them except in truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 The day on which a friend shall not avail (his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped, 41 save those upon whom God will have bestowed His grace and mercy: for, verily, He alone is almighty, a dispenser of grace. 42
