Wherefore admonish thou! thou art not, by the grace of thy Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or say they: a poet for whom we wait some adverse turn of fortune! 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact they are certain of nothing. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord, or have they been given charge of them? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt? 40 Is with them the Unseen, and they write it down! 41 Do they want to hatch some plot? Those who deny the truth will be the victims of the plot. 42 Is theirs a god beside Allah? Hallowed be Allah from that which they associate! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
