On the Day when We call all the people with their record, whosoever is given his book in his right hand shall read their book, and they shall not be wronged by as much as a single datefiber. 71 Those who are blind in this life will also be blind in the life to come and in terrible error. 72 And verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which We have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend! 73 Had We not strengthened your faith you might have relied on them some how. 74 In that case We would certainly have made you to taste a double (punishment) in this life and a double (punishment) after death, then you would not have found any helper against Us. 75 Their purpose was to scare thee off the land, in order to expel thee; but in that case they would not have stayed (therein) after thee, except for a little while. 76 This was Our tradition with Our Messengers who lived before you, and you will find no change in Our tradition. 77
