The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass, 1 There is, at its occurrence, no denial. 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 This will happen when the earth is shaken, shaken 4 And the mountains are crumbled, crumbled. 5 And become dust dispersing. 6 [on that Day,] then, shall you be [divided into] three kinds. 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell). 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few from the latter. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like unto preserved pearls. 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 And shade extended 30 And in perpetually flowing water. 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-failing and never out of reach. 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 And made them virginal, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
