Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness those who scatter (dust) by dispersing, 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 and the smooth runners 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
