And it is He Who has created ears and eyes and hearts for you; very little is the right you acknowledge. 78 And He it is Who spread you on the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 But nay, they speak as the people of olden times did speak: 81 they say: "What! After we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will say: "To God." Say: "Then why do you not bethink yourselves?" 85 Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion? 86 They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." Say to them, "How are you then deluded?" 89 We have brought before them the Truth, and there is no doubt that they are lying. 90 Never did God take unto Himself any offspring, nor has there ever been any deity side by side with Him: [for, had there been any,] lo! each deity would surely have stood apart [from the others] in whatever it had created, and they would surely have [tried to] overcome one another! Limitless in His glory is God, [far] above anything that men may devise by way of definition, 91 He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! 92
