Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf: By the Glorious Qur'an (Thou art Allah's Messenger). 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 as a provision for the worshipers; thereby We revived a land that was dead. Such shall be the emerging. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
