And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 There is not a word he utters but an observer is ready (to make note of it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said): 'Of this you have been heedless. Therefore, we have now removed your covering. Today your sight is sharp' 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants. 29
